Did I Imagine this figure? Has anyone else seen it

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

I was in a comic store in Bramalea, Ontario about....I dunno, maybe between 8 and 10 years ago? Anyway, I was just getting into the Sandman graphic novel series, and I saw a Sandman figure. As I was just starting the series, I didn't seriously consider getting a figure till I was further into it, of course when I was able to make the trek out there again, the figure was gone.

I've been doing web searches quite often since then, looking for this figure. And I know what you're all going to think, "silly girl! Just go onto ebay, I see them there all the time!". But that's the problem, I already HAVE those Sandman figures. The one I'm looking for is either SO obscure, that noone has ever made a note of it on any website or posted ANY pictures of it, OR......

It's also very possible (although highly unlikely) that I am completely insane and imagined the entire thing.

Hopefully somebody out there knows what the hell I am talking about, or has at least seen this figure also?
The simplest description I can give is that the figure was a Dream/Sandman 6 inch figure that came with a Matthew the crow. Again, I know you'll probably think you've seen it a million times, but here's the kicker- He was wearing a GREEN tank top. And the card of the packaging was BRIGHT YELLOW!. Also, his face was sculpted more creepy looking, as if he was based more on the artwork of Sam Keith.

That's it! Please help, I must know if I'm crazy. If so, I can accept it and move on

And the yellow carded sandman is a reissue. I've seen them before, but not for awhile now. The yellow is made up of sandman logos like the older dcd greenlantern reissues. good luck finding one. ill check my local, but im sure those are all 1st releases

Really? These are hard to find? My local comic shop has a case of each on clearance in the back room for 5.00 each. Theyve been there for about ten years or more. Should I snag em and throw em up for trade?

Thanks for the help, Yamigab,
But I've already got a couple of this figure, as well as the variant with his mask on...
The card packaging of the one I saw a few years ago was completely yellow,
which I must admit was a very odd colour choice for a Sandman figure...
I'll keep looking online, I must admit that my chances of finding this seem far worse than I thought.
I mean, if it's scarcely heard of or seen, even amongst other action figure collectors....
Oh well, thanks anyway guys! Wish me luck!

I've had this happen before with figures. About a year or so ago Hasbro did the legend class tranformers based on the 80s characters and Cosmos the UFO was one but apparently he is super rare. I never saw him anywhere but online in a set and my buddy only saw one in stores so I was wondering if I was dreaming for a bit. I just found him on ebay but not one of them is in the US.

heh I get no Jollys for making people who share my love of Harley Quinn lose there mind. I remember thinking to myself the Yellow backing with a green tank top looks like death on the beach.

Thank god! I was starting to wonder about my sanity!
Unless of course, you're humoring me because you're a Therapist? What kind of sick mindgames are you trying to pull??? Are you a Hugo Strange or something??

Thanks very much, maybe this will become a matter of violent debate, like a UFO or Bigfoot sighting or something.
