I'm a big metal-head. From the 70s to today, it's all good. I love it all from classic metal, Power Metal, Black Metal, 80s Hair Metal, even Nu-Metal. But I don't like Death Metal, despite still liking Black Metal. My favorites:

Megadeth, old Metallica, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards, 3 Inches of Blood, Trivium, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Cradle of Filth, Fear Factory, Amorphis, Tool, Pantera, God Forbid, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Misfits, old AFI, The Scorpions, As I Lay Dying, Scar Symmetry, Queensryche, Ozzy Osbourne, Mudvayne, Lordi, Kittie, Skid Row, Ratt, Motley Crue, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd.

Surprisingly enough I do like HIM. Not the new stuff though...I bought Venus Doom and Dark Light and thought they both sucked hard. My favorite album is Razorblade Romance. Followed closely by Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights.

I like various songs from every genre but I realize you don't have HIM on you list judging by your other Favs it seems you would like'em
