Stupidest question I've heard all week

Posted in Off Topic

I doubt any of you would know this, but I'm on medication for depression. Well, my prescription ran out a few days ago and I was forced to schedule an apointment with my Psyc. I go in there and wait for my name to be called. A few more people come in and no one is called back. A few more people come in and still no one is called back. At this point, it's packed with no more free chairs left.

ONE HOUR LATER, I get called back to a room and sit again, waiting for my doctor to come in. TWENTY MINUTES LATER, I hear him in the next room over thanks to the paper thin walls, chatting it up with another patient that he had taken a TWO HOUR LUNCH. My head nearly explodes. So he comes into the room, sits down and starts asking me questions and ends with "Have you had the urge to hurt someone recently?" I reached over to him and smashed his head into his desk repetedly until blood leaked from his ears and an impression of his face was left in the desk.

I told him no, I hadn't and he gave me the refill order thing and left the room.

Now I understand that it may take awhile for a doctor to get to you at a small clinic like the ones I have to go too, but when it's caused by his own incompitance and laziness like say, TAKING A TWO ****ING HOUR LUNCH, I start to get a little annoyed with them.

Where the hell does this guy get off taking that long for a lunch break. There's a little something called "Job Responsibility". His job is to take care of his patients and asign the best medications for the job, what he did today, and I'm sure has done before, is not just irresponsible, but careless and thoughtless to the packed waiting room. This is not the kind of thing I expect from a medical proffesional, or anyone for that matter.

Where does he get off thinking he can do this?

sounds like my psychologist. If its not talking about comic movies he's getting on me about having a long distance relationshp with my gf which really makes her mad as she thinks he's a know it all a-hole.

Geh depression sucks and the psychiatrist and doctor just want to be an ass. My doctor thinks he knows everything and won't listen to anything else. The psychiatrist doesn't really seem to give a hoot either. We just set and talk about movies etc. the entire time, and she does most of the talking. Surely that'll help get to the root of my problems

my psychologist, psychiatrist, and my family doctor are never on time. Doctors are no good bums who have us by the jewels as they know we need them thus they can get away with this sorta thing.

he should have picked up a subway sandwich and eat between seeing patients and because its a sandwich he doesn't have to worry if it gets cold the reason I say this is because thats what almost all the doctors do that I see ,but really how could it take you two hours to eat lunch thats inexcusable that he would make you wait that long.

I feel ya man, I have to put up with psychiatrists and the like, due to the fact that I'm bipolar and manic depressive. Those guys don't care about their patients...it's just a job to them. That's why I stopped going to one, and get my meds through a program called bridges to access.
