Off TopicThis really sucks guys....on the 16th of April I sent out a money order to a seller, whom I purchased 2 JP lots off of. There were quite a few rares in this lot as well, including an ornithosuchus. As of today, the seller still has not received it and they live in Indiana. I live in Virginia so it should have been there by now. Well the seller has opened and unpaid item alert for both lots, which means if something isn't done, I'll get 2 unpaid item strikes. Now I know the money order was sent off, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe the seller is lying, and they did receive the MO. Reason being, they're feedback isn't what I would call spotless, and just think, if they wanted to they could keep the money order and not send me the toys. MO's aren't like paypal, unfortunately there's no protection. What do you guys think I should do? I really want to continue buying things on ebay, as besides here it's one of the only places I can buy Jurassic Park toys. Also, does anyone know how many unpaid item strikes it takes to close your account? These would be the first ones I've received, as I ALWAYS pay for what I bid on, just as I always pay for what I purchase on here or any other toy related website.

Marvel on eBay
I've taken break from ebay right now but because it's full of theives or rip off shipping.
I'm just watching what I spend and ebay can be bad for that
Plus I'm trying to buy Canadian more. I want to support Canadian beniesness and Canadians in these tough econmic times.
I've payed exact shipping once in my life and than it was only a dollar (I had bought like 2-4 star wars cards)
But ever other time I've always paid more than what it cost to ship. I've done beniueness with the U.S, Canada, England and Japan and it's the same story everywhere.
I figure the seller either pays their fees with the extra money (ebay/paypal) or use it to add a bit of profit to there item.
It ticks me off but I figure if you want to do beniueness on the internet than that's what you have to put up with.
Yes, the detachable receipt is your only way to find out whether is has been cashed or not, but that is all it is good for. There is no way to "track" a U.S. Postal Money order or verify who actually cashed the money order in. However, (as someone already stated above) If after 90 days of the purchase the money order has not been cashed in, you can take the reciept to the Post Office and get a refund. I know both of these facts from experience. About the only way to really insure that a money order is delivered to the proper recipient is to send it via certified mail (which will cost more).
As for Ebay...
Ebay used to be a great place to do business, but they have screwed it all up these days. I quit using them about half a year ago. Oh, I've been stiffed by several people on there, but if Ebay would just go back to the way they used to be, (When they included the buyer/seller's entire feedback history instead of only the past 12 months) you could do business with other people who had great feedback ratings with confidence. I don't know why they are catering to people who are not reliable or trustworthy, it's not that hard to play by the rules and be honest, I had a 100% positive feedback rating the entire 4 years I was on there. If you can't follow through on a deal, you should be exposed to the rest of the community to protect the honest buyers and sellers. For me, using ebay went from an easy way to find or sell stuff to a great big hassle.
I just hope you used a postal money order they have the best tracking & security features.
I hope everything goes through smoothly for you .
I'd start there.
