Have you ever been playing your Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, whatever and just gotten so mad that you toss the controller across the room or kick your dresser over? I know I can't be the only one.
I was just playing Metroid Fusion the other day, and there was a point where I had to do the wall-jump. It is a move very similar to the one used in Ninja Gaiden where you jump wall to wall, you can't climb up or down it like a ladder though. Well in Metroid Fusion, it doesn't work NEARLY as smoothly as it does in Ninja Gaiden. Your timing and movement have to be absolutley precise. And this wall-jump was like 4 or 5 jumps up. So after about a half an hour of trying the same jump 50 times, I just threw my Nintendo DS in frustration, then immeadiatly regretted it. My Nintendo DS was fine, but it did test me, I wanted a cigarette again after about a year smoke free. And ironically, the next time I picked up the game I did it 1st try, go figure.
There are other games that are even more frustrating, though. For example, I was playing King's Field: The Ancient City. A very in-depth, thinking, action-RPG. I kept going, and going, and going, without saving. Well, it's my fault but I died before I finally saved. Then I was so upset I didn't want to touch the game for months. Recently I've picked it back up, and I'm glad I did. But have you guys ever just quit game over something similar?
I swore a lot playing Culdcept Saga for 360. the AI is totally cheap and most of your dice rolls are rigged to fail when you get deeper into the game. especially when the system knows you have some good cards, it gets really blatant. still a great game, just be prepared for some payback if you get too far ahead of your opponent.
lol. Those were the good old days of gaming. I used to get royally lit up while fighting with my sega cords running to the TV. no matter what something went wrong with all of them.
30 and playing gameboy games. I'd play atari if I could get the emulator to work. I had an atari when it first came out lol. Heck I have a pong machine but there's no way to hook it to the tv anymore I don't think.
I prefer the older games and loved it when the Atari games were put out on the PS1 and old SNES/NES games (and sega games) came out for the ps1 and ps2. I'm starting Breathe of fire right now.
I used to smack the crap outta my NES whenever something went wrong, threw teh controller (I have anger issues at times lol), and I think 90% of my foul language skills came from gaming.
It's all about the secret doors. Find some of those using bombs and candle on the overworld, and you'll find moblins that want to give large amounts of rupees.
yes. I almost beat the Legend of Zelda (yes, Im talking about the original NES one and yes, Im 14 and play NES games) I got to the end of the 6th dungeon (out of like 8 or 9) and a like-like (tube enemies) ate my shield ... YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO SAVE THE 99 RUPIES TO BUY ONE OF THOSE THINGS?!? ... I havent played the game since (sadly... I should... tonight...)
I'm 23 and I play SNES, NES, Genisess, Sega CD, Turbografx exclusily.
I have an xbox 360 and I find it boring as hell. I don't even play it. I wonder what I was thinking when I bought it
I pwn you, 26 and I still play Dig Dug, Ms Pac-Man, and Space Invaders on my Atari 2600.
