working out

Posted in Off Topic

I pump a little iron every now and again. if I had better equipment I would do it more... but mostly all I do is the stuff you don't need anything for. it works fine. gyms are expensive and smelly. although having access to a pool is always nice. and the occasional hot chic on the stair master do you guys work out at all?

I knew a guy who pumped iron and his arms and chest and legs were huge but he still had a big gut. I have my fancy treadmill that hasn't been used in neraly a year.

I work out every other day, usually. So actually, only really on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Now, 2 years ago, I could only lift a small 20lb dumb-bell a max of 5 times. Yes, 5 times. Now I'm using 35 pound weights, and 40s. And I usually rep those about 7 times, for 3 sets.

I also do a lot of other work outs. My brother and I have a little schedule, like one day we'll do biceps/chest, back/abs, traps/shoulders, and then just leg days.

I think, the hardest bicep workout, and probably even the hardest workout period, would be the preacher curl. At least, it is the way we do them (I think it has a specific name, but I don't know it, lol). You have the curved bell, and we had 2 10lb weights on each side (which sounds light, but it's really not, at all) and then you rep it 5-10 times, fast, set it down, change grip to either wide or close, do 5-10 more reps fast, set it back down, and do the last set of the one you didn't do, fast.

I did those yesterday, and now my arms kill.

Well in my martial arts class we sit in a horse stance for a couple minutes, burns your legs, but it helps. Two times I pulled my hamstring... We do 6 inches where we lay down without having our head and feet touch the ground, it works on your abs. We ocassionally do planks, but my back hurts after that. I'm old... I get most of my excercise in martial arts, but I have a weightlifting machine I just set up. I do about 20 repitions of 45lbs using each of the little pulley devices they have. Probably 4 different excercises. Then to wrap it up, just some Gatorade, or you can have those protein shakes.

I play some sports too, like football and frisbee so that can use your muscles a lot and you can get plentiful of endurance training using all your muscles during a game.

*actually scrap that, I found out each block is 25lbs each...maybe 85 lbs?

squats are definitely not my thing... I find that if you just hold yourself in mid-squat for a long time... it works the same as doing 40 of them would. same with sit ups too. it's called isometrics. holding a certain position long enough and it's the same as doing hundreds of sit ups.

really

yeah I do them while I watch tv or read comics or something

Get 2 - 20 lbs Free Weights Stand up Stright Hold the weights to your sides Strighten your shoulders then curl lift one arm at a time up to your chin - Do 10 to 20 lifts for each arm . That will build up your Forearms ,Biceps , Triceps & Shoulders . Push Ups Are Great For Building upper Body Strength ( Because If You Can Lift your Body Weight Anything else Is Even Better for you Example: Picking Up Chicks !!!! )
But Don't For Get To Work Your Lower Body ( You Don't Want To Look Like The Hulk W/ Chicken Legs) Do Situps They Work As Long As you do them right. Heres A Great Work out You Can Do That Will Build Up your Ankles , Calfs & Legs - Stand On A Step W/ Bolth Feet Half Of Your on the step ( toes & Front Arch On The Step Only ) Then Do A Standing Tip Toe - Up then Down Stop & Repete You Can Do These As Much As You want ( Think Of A Diving Board When Someone Dives Off It Bounces . Well Your Feet are The Board & Your Bouncing Just Stop At the Same Level As The Step .) And The Always Classic Jogging A Mile Is Good Per Day Just Streach Out Before You Do Any Of these Activites .
Warning About Pullups They Are Great For Upper Body but Just Make Sure You Rub Some Lotion On your Under arm & Side Areas It Helps Prevent Streach Marks . ( Not Only Fat People Get them why do you think those body builders are Always Greased up It Helps Prevent Streach Marks. & Some Are Weird Grape Sumgglers But Whatever. HAHAHAHAHAA Free Tickets to the Gun Show OK AnyWay) .
I Hope Some Of these Help
