I thought the backplate on the glove was wicked, and the metal finger pieces that the blades fit onto were sick as well. But I can overlook a small detail like that if the movie even holds a candle to the original.

I hope they do it like the halloween remake (*GASP* yes I liked this movie!) and make it so we get some of freddy before he is burned and why he is crazy or if he is just a really screwed up individual. then about half an hour into it we get to start nightmare 1
but either way jackie will make it good.
If you want to see a little back-story of pre-supernatural Freddy, the everyday serial killer, check out the 6th Nightmare move: "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare". "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors" also gives a little bit of back story on his very evil conception process (it's really not as gross as it sounds).

I know that, I have seen them all. I love the movies, but you don't really see much of freddy before he was burned other than him cutting his stomach with a streight razor and him strangeling his wife. I want too see more though.
True, but it also shows some childhood scenes too. Scenes of his pops (played by Alice Cooper) beating him, and then Freddy turning around and beating his dad after he had enough. It also showed Freddy in class killing the class pet hamster with a ballpeen hammer.
For me, that's enough backstory for my tastes. We have enough psycho killer movies already, and without the supernatural powers, that's all the movie would be.

I only mean for like the first 20 minutes not like the 2 hour back story for halloween.

Jackie Earle Haley Also Had A Small But Killer Part As A Dirty Hippy In Semi Pro A Dukes - He Rocked !

What's fortunate is that the new Freddy is played by a skilled actor. Jamie Earle got his start in a movie called "Little Children." He played a neurotic pedophile that was arrested for exposing himself to a minor. The movie was really really interesting, I had to watch it for Psych in Cinema a little while back. His performance was just... eery. Not too mention he was recently Rorschach.
Robert is a really versatile character actor. He's always good in horror movies. I wish I had the V action figure my buddy did in the 80s. it was like 12" and have removable skin on the head. Whta I wouldn't give to get ahold of his figure collection if he has it. he had everything you could think of. I was spoiled but this kid didn't know the meaning of "no".
He looks more menacing. Robert always had that guy next door lunatic to him that and after seeing himas Willie on the V miniseries and tv show it was hard to see him as a badguy lol. Even now he's just as well known for that part as for being Freddy.
