Well, it's come to that point in life that all collectors fear.....................Adulthood!!, well to put it another way, fatherhood, my child is due on December 28th and being as we only have a two bedroom house, the starwars room has to go. I've sold loads of it and made about £800 (approx $1500) and the stuff I couldn't bear to part with (mostly vintage stuff) is slowly being packed away for storage in the attic. So, as I sit here carefully wrapping and packing my prized collection join me in lifting a glass in memory of my collection and all others out there that have lost a treasured collection to make way for another little treasure to be.
Darththomas81's Starwars collection 1985- July 2009 R.I.P
My wife and I have two boys, named the first one Luke ( great name! ). FYI the name Luke means "the bringer of light" maybe you could pitch that to the wife. Good luck and congrats on the upcoming little one.
cheers guys for all your kind words, as for naming it Luke/ Leia great idea (especially the buying me a big house bit) but I don't think the missus would let me. The collection will be reborn once he/she is old enough and it will be told, DO NOT TOUCH!!!!!! on pain of death. Don't think we could get away with making him/her sleep outside or not feeding it either, social services would be all over it but once again, great idea . Thanks again dudes!!
RIP to the Star Wars collection, and congrats on the baby. Maybe you can name him Luke, or if a girl Leia. Then when they grow up, they'll buy you a big, big house and you can unpack your figures onto a huge room. It's worth a shot, unless they grow up and think you are a complete nerd for naming them after a Star Wars character, lol, mission failed!
Gulity pleasure of mine

Have two kids and name them Luke and Liea!!!!
I love that idea!!!
Pure win
Just stop feeding it and it'll go away.
Aleast when your kid grows up and moves out you can take the remains of your collection and start up all over again.
Baby can sleep outside. (J/K)
