I've been making custom DVDs for years of my favorite shows that are not released on DVD. I was wondering if anyone else here is into this hobby as well.
I knew a lot of folks who would download stuff but it's a hassle and you're likely to get viruses. There are a few legal places to get stuff to download with advertising paying for the stuff it seems as the TV companies post their shows on there (can't download them).
I don't know how to fix one, but I know where you can buy em, and they are cheap. All you have to do is slide out the insert and put it into the new case. If the spoke inside is broke the case is junk. I've had that happen to me too.
well if I could figure out my vhs player for once I would try to get episodes of spider-man the animated series but I recently lost that channel... oh well but I did get it once to record godzilla, one of the classical ones.... I still think vhs is going to make a come back!
No I just record them on TV when they air. I can't see a download holding up to the quality of a DVD recorder, and that's no more illegal then a VCR. Plus I was talking about importing and buying retails as well. Like I have Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season sets from Germany, Spellbinder series one and two from Australia, etc...I was just curious.
That might be something that people may want to keep to themselves right now. That is a hot-button issue right now. There was a just a college student who was fined $675,000 for downloading only 30 songs, yesterday. Another lady last week was just fined some ridiculous amount for same thing. It was on the news.
I'm throwing that out there because I'd assume this hobby includes d/l episodes of the shows.
