Obsessed

I don't know if I'm a mental case or what. But I get totally obsessed about things. For example, I hear a band I like for the 1st time, for a month or two afterwords I can't get enough of them. I listened to Iron Maiden for like 3 months straight when I first heard em. I do the same thing with TV. Right now I'm on a wrestling kick. I've been watching TNA every week, and I've been watching DVDs and YouTube of old wrestling shows and matches. Before that I watched a crapload of Star Trek TNG & Voyager.

I do the same thing with my hobbies. For a few months, I'll be totally obsessed with back-issues of comics and I'll buy a crapload. Then for the next few months, I'll be obsessed with Trading Cards and buy a few full sets. Right now I'm obsessed with video games. I'm trying to collect all the systems and vital games for em that I can. So far I've gotten an NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy Advance, PS1 (games, not console), and PS2.

It helps me as a collector, though, because without that obsession, I probably would give up before I completed collections. But at the same time, I probably spend an unhealthy amount of time and money on these liitle fixations I get.

Am I the only geek that gets like this about these things?
