You can find a lot of reprints in graphic novel form. Some of em are hardcover, so they're a little pricey, but WAAAYYYY cheaper than getting the back-issues. Most of the Marvel (then known as Timely) ones you can find in softcover, it's the DC ones that have more hardcover than softcover Golden Age reprints.
that's part of why they aren't reprinted. they're "racist" even though they're actually historical documents. Same reason some of the ww2 Warner brothers cartoons are hard to find even on DVD.
I agree... I meant primarily Space invaders when I said 70's games... I am 15 years old, so I completley missed the gold and silver ages too, but a comics a comic... as long as it has a good storyline, good writing, and good art, I can't (and won't) complain
I consider that an insult! lol I love old games! they were great! the majority of my favorite games came from the 70's, 80's, and early 90's! (old comics are friggin amazing too )
Well 70s games weren't all that great. What was there: Pong, Pac-Man, Frogger, Asteroids! , and Space Invaders? Pretty slim and simple pickings if you ask me. Video games didn't mature until Nintendo NES and Sega Master System were introduced, IMO. And then Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis perfected that old-school style.
As for comics, I think we missed the boat there. I don't know how old you are, but for me I completely missed the Golden and Silver Ages, I started reading comics in the 80s. I still read and follow Marvel and DC Comics. When I was a kid, the most innovative thing to come out was "special events" like Secret Wars and Crisis on Infinite Earths (both were awesome, don't get me wrong). But nowadays the entire DC and Marvel Universe are being dumped on their heads. The entire landscape is changing. Storytelling and art are at places we could only dream of in the 80s. The kids now have it damn good when it comes to comics.

Well a lot of kids these days don't seem to care about the older games and history of the industry, goes for comics too. I didn't until I hit about 25 and realized how good we had it lol.
The older games were better. There was actually originality and innovative games back then. People tried to create new gaming experiences. Other than the recent addition of music games, it seems that most of todays games are copies of each other. And 80% of those are shooters. Don't get me wrong, I like a good shooter, but there are other games worth making!
Yeah the matchups are kinda sad, so are the comments by folks bashing the older games like Out of this world and digdug. No respect for the games that paved the way for the new stuff.

My favorite is superman slapping a jappense person with the caption "Slap a jap!"
