Halo 2

Posted in Off Topic

What a game, huh? It's the best one in the Halo Trilogy, IMO. (I haven't played Halo 3: ODST yet). The first one was great, but Halo 2 really improved on the storyline, dialogue, graphics, and soundtrack; making Halo 2 almost seem epic. And Halo 3 was the same, but it was just too freaking short.

The game is just a masterpiece. Excellent gameplay, great graphics, awesome sci-fi story, great dialogue (loved the one-liners from The Sarge), and excellent enemy AI (depending on the difficulty level, of course). Plus it has one of the best multiplayer aspects of ANY video-game. I would put this game up against any of the next-gen games, and it would blow most of them out of the water, still.

This game is old, I know, but I'm re-playing right now. I just picked me up an XBox in my quest to own all the major video game systems, and got Halo 2 as my first game with it. (I had owned an XBox before, but traded it into Gamestop) That's why I'm excited about it again. So far the count is: NES, SNES, GBA-SP, Sega Genesis, PS1, PS2, & XBox. I plan on getting still: Sega Master System, Sega CD, Sega Dreamcast, N64, & Gamecube. I don't want TG-16, Saturn, Neo-Geo, Atari, or any of the rest because there aren't enough good games on them to be worth the money.

Iw anted to get halo 2 for the PC but it never went down in price so I skipped over it. plus the first one ran so badly on my PC (which is more than powerful enough) that I avoid it and anything else directly made by Microsoft.

I don't know about that, but what I meant was that for a month or two earlier this year more people played Halo 3 online than any other game during that month.

I think it was just earlier this year that Halo 3 was ranked #1 most played game on xbox live for a couple months. (don't know when and not going to go find a source)
That should say something toward it's popularity and quality over more current games.

(couldn't resist... sorry...)

I love the Halo francise. Halo 3 is one of my favorite games I own. (next to Ghostbusters ) I will admit, maybe H3 was a little bit hyped, but with all the people who still play it, it isn't OVER-hyped. think about it, H3 came out what, like 2 years ago, 3 years? still, there are millions of devoted fans who still love and cherish killing countless covenant forces in a bloody, explosion-packed, massacre. (lol) the online play is great, the graphics are awesome, the story line is entertaining (at the very least), and the characters are slightly vague, but they're still believeable...

anyways, there's my short rant...

Allow me to re-quote my sig.

And the same can be said for Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Which came out around the same time. And millions seems a bit exagrerated eh? Believable? Wha-?

Huh, sorry to disagree with you but I found Halo 2 long, boring, and dull. Halo 3 was all hyped and really blew. The multiplayer is repetive and boring. The level designs are generic and uninteresting. The main character is so dull that watching paint dry is more interesting then watching a cut scene with him in it. The story is so average. Halo: COmbat Evolved was a amazing game but Halo 2 and 3 not so much.

Inculding the Neo Geo?? Man that will cost you

I curently own: GB:colour, NES, SNES, Turbografx-16, Sega geniess, Sega cd, xbox 360, Nintendo DS

If your after all the game systems I highly recomend the Turbografx-16. It's highly underrated and is such an awesome system. I only own about a dozen games for it but I love it to pieces! The games are simple and just plain fun. Pick one up and see for yourself
