I saw this at Borders today. Not bad, wish they'd make one for Fallout and Deadspace though. I didn't look at the price, probably get it from the sci-fi book club cheaper.
I flipped throguh it and tell you what it's nice. It has really good artwork and if you're into costuming and stuff it has good art for the weapons and such. I'll get it used on amazon lol. It really looks like the old Starwars tech manual hardbacks I got years ago (before lucas changed 30 years of history).
Well Halo is a (somewhat) sequal to Bungie's Marathon series...I do agree on them "milking the cow'' tho...I mean they have Halo Megabloks?!?! WTF!?!?! lol
Well, I think the idea of the encyclopedia for Halo was to bring together all the information presented in the 5 games (1,2,3,ODST,Wars) and all the information presented in the 7 or so novels and the 3 comic books/graphic novels.
Wow. Did Halo really need an encyclopedia? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Halo. But it's not like it's been around for decades, or it has various incarnations like Transformers, or anything like that. It's had a decent run as a video game, but it doesn't have as many entries in it's series as say Final Fantasy or Resident Evil. It's not some all-encompassing Universe that has too many character to keep track of, like Marvel or DC. This is just another way to milk the cow, it wasn't needed.

as a side note both Fallout and Dead Space have their own wiki's (deadspace.wikia.com and fallout.wikia.com)
