Frank Frazetta has always been without a doubt the single most influential artist for me. I had hoped to meet him some day before his passing. While Robert E. Howard created Conan, it was Frazetta who defined him visually...for the ages! I was reading this morning's paper and my jaw dropped when I read he had passed away. While he was not the first artist to tackle sci-fi/fantasy art, he most certainly brought the genre to a new level. What always struck me in his art was his ability to capture that dark mood and portray raw violence and action. Frazetta suffered from I'll health for many years, he lost his ability to paint with his right hand several years ago, but trained himself to paint with his left, still churning out masterpieces. One thing about a frazetta painting, there is no mistaking who created it. Many have tried to mimic his style, but I don't think anyone could duplicate it. Rest in peace Frank Frazetta...
But Seph I posted this in the comic corner a few hours back. Your a failure as a mod. Especially if you don't pay attention to what I do.
