WTF when it comes to dremels

Posted in Off Topic

I got a new dremel and was registering it when one of the options got me. Under what it is used for they asked if it was going to be used for nail trimming/personal grooming. Who the heck needs to use a dremel to trim their nails?

it just creeps me out. I've nicked my nail by accident with one while sanding and it doesn't feel good at all.

about the dremel being used to trim finger nails, we'll, I've seen an advertisement before on home tv shopping that sells the exact product. it looks like a mini drill/sander and it has different sanding bits too. (I forgot the name of the product) and yeah, the idea is to sand off the finger nails instead of cutting them with a nail cutter. they showed how to use it, they have models and they made some passers by try the product on the spot.

I know, I had so many plans that involved the TV and immersion in liquids. But as soon as I saw the box I just thought well thank god they warned me

Just the thought of a dremel grinding down a nail makes me uneasy, sorta like thinking about the dentist drill.

You live in America the land of stupid lawsuits.

If they didn't get you to say you were not going to use it as a nail trimmer some idiot would try and cut his toe off. Than he will sue the dremel manafutre (he doesn't need any money either since in the U.S it's legal for Lawyers to work for free and just take a piece of the setlment) So this dumb@ss will be awarded like 1.5 million dollars for being an idiot.

Common snese no longer applies any more so companies have to put warings on these things...like "do not put hand under the lawn mower while it is running" Which is actully printed on the actual lawnmower, the box and the instruction manual. Geeze I thought that was a given? But what do I know?
