ok so say your friend just bought the new maps for call of duty or anything else for that matter
you can then log in on your ps3 with his sign on and his permission and it will let you download what ever he has paid for and vice versa
this is legal because playstation allows you to download stuff that you paid for as many times as you want
so if anyone wants to trade some dlc with me my psn id is DICEMAN313 ADD ME and we can talk

I think technically that would still be "illegal". You are downloading/taking a paided item for free. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
