Where would you go?

Posted in Off Topic

Where would you go? Anywhere, any time period, etc.

I'd love to go back to the Middle East, some time around 1 AD (before or after doesn't matter to me).

I'd love to go to Egypt. I'd also like to bring several different technologies with me (iphone and computers I guess). They'd probably treat me like a god if so (Erich von Däniken style).

I'd love to go to Japan, around 1770-1805.

My brother and I have often talked about how we were born in the wrong time period. We imagined we should have been born during 1860, during the Civil War. We'd be our own gang in the Wild West during the 1880s.

Anyway, where would you go if you could?

Realistically, I don't think traveling into the future is possible. In order for you to go to a specific event it must either have happened, or it is happening in the present. The future is constantly changing, unlike in Back to the Future where it is one continuous line/river.

But then again, I don't think it's possible. It may or may not be.

My understanding of time travel is that it would be possible to travel to the future but there would be no way to go back. The past is set in stone but the future is yet to happen.

I would buy a bunch of cars and then go to the future where they will all be antiques and sell them (this is assuming that the zombie apocalypse hasn't come yet).
