So I found out about this awesome Con called “RetroCon”. It’s Sunday November the 11th at the Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks PA. It’s only $14 to get in and runs from 9am till 5pm. This Con is pretty much all late 70’s through the 80’s cartoons and pop culture. Some of the people that will be there are the voice actors that played a few of the 1980s Thundercats, the voice actor that played the G1 Bumblebee, and a bunch of artists and such as that. Anyone that is in the area should totally come check this out. Some of the awesome door prizes are some retro T-Shirts, a SDCC Exclusive Bruticus combiner from Transformers, another SDCC tformer fig, and the crème de la crème, a G1 Optiums Prime with box that has been painted to match the RetroCon colors and logo. This is going to be super rad people.
That seems to be the new thing for cons. I haven't been to one other than the anime con in Pittsburgh (which had a crap schedule for signings) and back when I did the comicon in Pittsburgh the only one I ever saw charging was David Prowse who was the guy in the vader suit. Everyone else signed free but now a days everyone's trying to make a buck. Not sure how the comicon does it as it's been 15 years.
