Can anyone identify this piece ???

I got this piece in a parts fodder lot that I bought on eBay....it looks like some kind of arm or leg gauntlet from a 3.75" figure and has an R stamped on the backside of it, I don't recall seeing it on any Marvel universe figures. I am thinking it may be from a G.I. Joe figure and would appreciate it if anyone could tell me what it is from because I'd like to get more of them.
