The upper bodies pop off, so do the shoulders. On the smaller female body, the hips can also be popped off.

When you say "smaller" bodies you mean like Spider Girl and the SDCC Magik, right? I had a close look at those two and kind of thought the hip pieces appeared to be on ball joints and not those rotating swivel type joints seated inside the torso. So they come off with a simple heat and pop, eh? Hope those become more common on the full sized figures, it would make painting the legs SO much easier.
