sculpty

Posted in Custom Workstation

Im new to customs, at least putting actual effort anyway. I got green stuff and am working with it now and its a pain. Its so sticky, i didn't expect it to be so much like silly putty. I lightly moisten it but it keeps stretching at the slightest touch, pulling away at what I'm working on. Is it usually such a pain in the ass or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

I personally love aves fixit sculpt. sandable, paintable, waterproof, good long working time, and nothing like the issue you describe here

if it's lifting off the surface youre sculpting on, then rough up the surface first to let the clay grip the surface better.

I haven't used GS, but maybe if you let it sit for a few minutes it'll get less sticky, like Apoxie Sculpt.

Welcome to customizing. Trial and error Sir. Try Milliput, or Water Weld by JB.
