As some of you may have realized, some of the 1:18 scale G.I. Joes have heads that sit lower than other Joes. Examples include Renegades Duke, Renegades Ripcord, and the 25th Anniversary Snake Eyes. If you try to put a high hanging head (i.e., Renegades Tunnel Rat, Renegades Law, 25th Anniversary Duke, 25th Anniversary Roadblock) on the bodies of these figures, then the necks will look unnaturally long. If you try to put a low hanging head on the body of a figure that comes with a high hanging head, then you'll get a figure with no neck.
I'm working on a project that requires the use of low hanging heads on the 25th anniversary Snake Eyes body. I've already used Renegades Duke and Renegades Ripcord; I need one more low hanging head without head gear or a mask. Any examples of these would be appreciated, but I'm not looking to use another Duke or Ripcord head.
I'm new to the game, so I haven't really modified pieces yet. My only concern would be ruining the integrity of the piece. Any advice on what tools/techniques would be helpful? I'd love to use the Renegades Tunnel Rat head.
Customizing is very straightforward, simply modify the hole so it accepts whatever you're popping it onto. If it's too loose, drop a little glue in there to stiffen it up.
