Fixing Maestro

Posted in Custom Workstation

So I found a Marvel Legends Maestro open box at a con ($10). All is well and good until about 20 seconds into trying to pose it, the waist joint gives out. Probably familiar to anyone who owns it because I know some one who has the same figure and had the waist joint break the same way. I also found this: http://www.figurerealm.com/customtutori ... view&id=93

Does anyone have any other ideas for fixing it?

I don't know how you would connect magnets to use them like that.

Look here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons- ... -hulk.html

This customizer had a similar problem with the figure, and has lots of pics showing how and where they put the magnets.

Hope this helps.

What range of motion do you want for the figure? If he merely needs to swivel to the left and right, you can attach magnets to both the torso and the waist so that they connect to each other. That would be a relatively simple fix. If on the other hand, he needs to be able to bend his torso, you would need to do something like the tutorial you found.
