I think you should reduce the requirements to manage contests. The 100 (or is it 200?) comments requirements is too steep. I'd happily manage a few contests if I could. The ones that do get approved sometimes seem out there, while the ones that languish are usually the ones that would generate way more entries.
There's so much cool stuff on here that I'd be surprised if you didn't hit 200 posts in the first half hour of browsing lol. There's so much to say about everyone's work.
You aren't missing much by not managing a contest though, all it means is you answer any questions people have about the contest and let the regulators/moderators know about any entries that don't fit. You can also manage other people's contests if they let you.
Personally, I'd like to scrap like half the current ideas in the queue because I don't think they're all that interesting, but Cap doesn't want to upset anyone by doing that.
