So, it might sound weird, but I'm looking for a fat action figure either in 4-5 inch range or 6-7 inch range. If you're familiar with the game DOOM, you might know about the mancubus. He's a big grotesquely fat demon with rocket launchers for arms. He's my next project but I'm having no luck finding a good base figure that has that type of body shape. I was thinking something like the blob but he's really expensive. I'm also looking for good arm articulation. And I really just need an upper body since he has stumpy legs that really won't need to move. Help would be greatly appreciated if you can tell me about any figure or character that fits this description.
I'm with the doc, sculpt it. Find the arms you like and cut them out leaving intact the shoulder joints, I usually just cut the chest in half. Then make a base body from foil, you can make it as wide as you want. Stick it all together with apoxie clay.
I would sculpt the thing, I think you can pull it off. That mancubus looks flabby enough that you won't have to stress out sculpting chiseled symmetrical muscles, just rough shapes.
I found a Mr Incredible figure at Target a few months back that I thought would be good for a Bouncing Boy. You might want to try to find him. He was on clearance really cheap.
