I was planning on using the head of Amelia Pond (younger) for a custom. I was going to repaint it a bit. I'm new to collecting Doctor Who figures, I've been an avid collector of all kinds of things so I'm not new to customizing or repainting. I was looking at a video of the figure is the head sealed on or would it come off with a little pressure? Or would it come off easily as most heads? If I got a Buffy body for it or either another Doctor Who or Torchwood female body would it fit?
I see your point. I wanted to make it like a young adult female figure to have her look a little more younger than she actually is. There are seldom young female figures and it's something I wanted to make. What would be an ideal body? The fact that 4" head does definitely differ from 6" and in terms of bodies. I want to have a hoodie and jeans sculpt body for her and repaint her hair and face, etc.
The ideal body for a 4" head is a 4" body. The scale really is dramatically different:
Vader here is, from left to right, 31", 18", 12", and 6", with 4" in the front.
Shopping within the Doctor Who line is probably a decent idea if you're really attached to the Amelia Pond head. And there's actually a Rose Tyler body that sounds like it'd suit your needs perfectly: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DR-DOCTOR-WHO-R ... SwJQdW~swv
I don't know about the ease/difficulty of removing the head, but the problem you're going to have with using a Buffy body is that the Amelia Pond figure is only 4", while the Buffy bodies were all done in the 6" scale. Even if it was pop on/pop off compatible, it's going to be wildly disproportionate.
