Custom WorkstationHere's a tutorial that just went up, it's for making head molds with latex
http://www.figurerealm.com/customtutori ... iew&id=100Have any of you worked with latex molds? What casting material can we use with it? I'm looking at SmoothCast 60D (urethane resin), supposedly it's flexible and should be fine when used with latex.
https://www.smooth-on.com/products/smooth-cast-60d/UPDATE
I asked Smooth-On if 60D was flexible and if it would work with a latex mold, I got a reply-
Basically the "semi-rigid" resins they have like SmoothCast 60D aren't flexible, they cure hard and have some "flex strength". Uh...okay.
Also, the person said they don't recommend using latex molds. Uh...okay, very helpful, thanks rofl
Do you see why this hobby can be so frustrating at times? lol

Please wait...

Seems to be okay to use resin with a latex mold.
Also, the Smooth-On person replied again, they don't offer information about latex simply because they don't sell latex products and don't want to be held responsible if they give you bad info.
I mean, it's understandable, but they make you agree to a disclaimer that waives them of all fault before you can even email them anyway, so I don't know why these guys with years of experience using the materials can't make a simple suggestion.
