And oof, I remember when I could sell 1 custom and buy an entire wave of figures and have some change left over, now I have to sell like 2 or 3 customs and half the figures in the wave just get turned into more customs rofl
I know how you feel man...I spotted two complete cases of the X-men Wave sans the deadpool at my local Walmart. either someone in store knows what they are getting or scalpers have uncanny radar.
In every retail store I've worked, there was always someone who knew what the popular items were and ganked them. Not just toys, in all departments. I think they hit up Amazon or Ebay the day before we'd get shipments and use the sales data to make a shopping list of scalpable items lol
Plus, you can check store inventories online, and resellers/scalpers make it their business to know restocking schedules, etc.
I rarely shop in stores anymore, but if I come across something rare I'll grab it as a prize for one of the contests.
