I am now just beginning customizing but I know I cannot do a x-23 or a psylocke(x force version or Jim lee version). I would really appreciate if one of the fellow realmers would mind making me one for less than 1 hundred. Hopefully around forty or fifty for psylocke and 30 to 40 for x23. I know it's dumb to ask for these customs for such a low price but, I don't have lots of money to spare on top figures because I am just a kid collector. Please help me, and I do take care of figures and love and collect them.
Unfortunately that's about the price of parts. I'm going to lay out my prices below and provide a little advice.
The figure is (usually) 32$ If I can find a body in retail or have one on hand. I believe that's about 21$ American. The labor I usually add another 50, keep in mind that's in Canadian dollars and significantly cheaper in American. As for shipping it depends on where it's going. Sometimes it's around 20$ others it goes for closer to 30$ So all together that's about 110$ Canadian/ 85$ American.
It's sad that we can't afford to make figures at 40-50$ for anyone, but then we would be losing money. Sometimes new costumers sell figures like that so they can get practice and make a bit of their money back. The thing is with that is quality is VERY flakey and although it's a great way to practice to get better for customizers it's not a great way to buy a custom figure for a collector.
So all things considered it might be a good idea to try making your own! Watch some tutorials, ask me and other customizers for any help you need, and start your first custom!
Doing it for yourself is pretty much the only way you're going to get it that cheap since parts alone would be your budgeted amount for each.
People have popped recast versions of the new Psylocke or Silk head on the Toybiz Jim Lee versions and they look a LOT better. For X-23, Get the head/hand/feet parts from the version they did make and learn to mod them onto a black spider girl, paint the midriff fleshtone and the hands/feet to match. If that isn't in your ability set, it shouldn't be so far out that you can't figure it out.
Sometimes I do low prices just for the experience and good will, but right now I have too many projects going on
$40 to $50 bucks is where my prices start, the thing is that's just for labor. After you factor in that you need to buy the parts (which is like an extra $30 to $40 because toys are effing expensive), and also pay shipping, even a $40 custom will end up costing like $70 lol.
