DC Universe Wave 6 Superman Variant....Variant?

Hoping someone has some information for me as I looked all around and haven't come up with much.

I have a DC Universe wave 6 superman variant, I.e., classic costume that is different from the others. While the supes in the line has a mullet, this figure has the classic short-hair look. Still sealed on card and not tampered with so no one did any switching.

So wave 6 superman in classic red blue costume with short hair and a bit of freaky light blue eyes. Is this just a variant of a variant?

that sounds like a cool looking supes but it may not be a varient its problly a very very very cool factory mistake.

also the short haired superman head was used on the eradicator first who was in the same wave I think?
