Painting help

Posted in Custom Workstation

Archangel is killing me, so many lines and the warlock purple out the bottle is so watered down its getting impossible to work with, any ideas on how to work though this? Would sculpting the purple areas help? How does working with stickers work?

Thanks doc, it just seemed the paint wouldn't stick but 7 layers later its starting to take shape not as pretty as I would like it but looking okay, hopefully after 7 more layers it'll work, great work on the free hand, no way I could pull that off, stupid question but do you have to prime the electrical tape? Just incase 14 layers doesn't work

I never prime it but I guess it wouldn't hurt to scuff it up with sandpaper

Relatedly, I just freehanded a bunch of purple lines lol. Watering down the paint actually helps me more since it lets the paint flow easier and self-level. Unless you mean the paint won't stick or there isn't enough pigment in the paint when you water it down? In that case try thinning it with acrylic thinner instead of water.

And yeah, sculpting stuff always makes it easier to paint since it's raised detail you can use as a guideline.

Stickers work like you expect, cut out the stickers and stick them on. Electrical tape works okay.
