I need to recreate the brown on this body. I painted the head, and as you can see I can't quite get that color. The brown I have is too desaturated, no matter how much yellow or red I add to it, I can't get that rich brown color. Any tips for a brand that's close to it?
That's one of those things about mixing model paints, they don't necessarily correspond to the standard methods, say like with artist's paints (with which I've long been familiar). Mixing the right color tends to be a frustrating hit and miss, though mostly miss, process.
The hue you have looks pretty correct on my monitor, just not dark enough? And what happens when you add just a hint of black to darken up that one you mixed up?

I like this BASE Citadel paint, it's similar to Formula P3 with good coverage. The price still sucks though lol
So frustrating lol, almost makes me want to go to home depot and and have them custom mix a batch.
Someone suggested Mournfang Brown from Citadel so I ordered one to try.
