Smooth paint vs scratchy/unequal/rubbed paint

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi! I've bought some well sculpted figures recently but the paint of the figures looks generally very scratchy/rubbed. Very, very different from the aspect of an industrialized figure. My question is: Is there any way to make a smoother/non-rubbed/non-scratched paint that resembles more the factory-made figures? I seem to have come across some of these in the galleries of some customizers here but I wanted to make sure it's really possible and not just an impression that I got from pictures well taken. Tks!

Tks, Dr!!!! It's a matter of work quality, then, as I suspected...

Any paint can look as good as factory applications, but they'll never be as durable.

If you want to paint some figures, you'll do okay using acrylics and thinning them as needed, then use some sealer to make them durable enough for everyday handling.
