Hey guys, recently I've decided to try and use the superglue method to protect my joints from paint rub, especially the shoulder and hip discs, I took the entire disc out, painted it, let it dry, then put a layer of superglue over it. The problem is that, the superglue creates an ugly, glossy, uneven, bumpy surface on the discs. I use an ultra gel superglue, then use a tooth pick to spread it over the joint, and I find it impossible to make a smooth surface using a tooth pick with the gel glue. Any ideas? Thanks
Thanks, I never had any experience using the liquid type on figures, if the surface is glossy, you can use a matte varnish to make it matte? Or will it not work on the glue surface? Was something that I was also curious about.
Also, if you're using old super glue it'll just make a sticky mess, so be sure to replace your super glue regularly.
