I've recently been doing some research on the process of turning final sculpts into articulated action figures. Everything up to the final figure is understood--up until the actual part that involves articulating the figures. So I ask: what is the process of cutting joint spaces for the figures in each of their intended-to-be-articulated limbs, as well as the creation of said joints? I would be most thankful for any help given.
From what little I could find, traditional sculptors that work for toy companies sculpt on premade joints.
Doll makers often make their own joints though, you could try a doll forum.
