Fabric on my figure?

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hey guys, I know that fabric on a 1:12 scale fig won't look as great, but what kind of fabric is best for making specifically a karate gi, and a cape for a 6 inch fig, thanks

My bad - Gaberchino, or a very light weight cotton drill/twill may work.

Thanks for the tips, Scott, gives us something to go on instead of wandering around the fabric store feeling up the dresses on display lol

welcome,, side note: If its synthetics fibres you can seal the raw cut edge with a hot knife or soldering iron, stop the fraying. It also makes it less bulky and easier to turn up to stitch in wire for more dramatic cape poses.

Fabric for cape, try either aa jersey or lycra based fabric, or cheap polyester crepe back satin, both work well, drop nicely and can be easily painted. For the Gi I would use a light cotton based fabric like garbachino
