"Blue stuff" :Tried it out: < < <¿

Has anyone else used it?

I recently saw a video of someone using blue stuff for moulds.

So I bought a box.
Reusable:
Boil it until soft.
Press your part into it half way.
Than poke mounting holes.
Let first part cool down.

Than cover other side with annother piece.
Let it cool, pull out your part.

Than put your putty/ clays and apply pressure.

It can also make pour moulds, with apoxy & polyester resin.

I attempted to use it , didn`t do the mounting holes and think that was my downfall , I made a construction out of lego to hold the mold and clothes pegs to hold it shut .... leading to a very warped colossus head , but its a learning curve so I`ll try again and update

Pour moulds are different.
Push it into blue stuff top first cover all but peg hole (let it cool)

Pop out the head, pour...wait.
Pop it out and drill new peg hole.

Cheat for certain parts.
use oven cure putty.
(for infinate sculpt time.)

Gently pop it out, sculpt out the defects, bake.

Or with regular puttys.
I take a fodder head that fits.

Remove it's face mould just the face portion of desired head.
Apply like a mask.. leave to cure.
