I'd like to make a removed mask of a person's face for my ML Chameleon to hold in his hand, if that makes sense. So something like a rubber mask that he's pulled off and is now holding, like this picture: Has anybody got any ideas on how to make something like this? I'm not that great at sculpting stuff so I wondered if anyone can think of easier ways of making it?
Well, even if your not good at sculpting, that might work cuz the sculpt should look distorted. I would use Apoxie, and start working on it while wet. I would also use more of "Part B" (the darker, stickier one) which will leave it more flexible. But that's just a suggestion- u could get the same result if u mix it normally.
Find a face you like spray it with release agent, or dust with baby powder, or whatever make a mold by pressing some apoxie sculpt or sculpey onto it, let it harden or bake brush layers of liquid latex into the mold until its the thickness you want, or smear a thin layer of hot glue, whatever peel it out, paint, done
