The first Bond villain (in the books at least) LeChiffre is actually significantly different from page to screen. In the book he is a corpulent middle aged man, but as he is assayed by Mads Mikkelson, he is a sleek and tall “money man” for terrorists with a deformed eye that “weeps blood.” He’s also a more fleshed out and complex character in the film in spite of his idiosyncratic appearance.
