this is a custom paint job by me. This is a plastic model kit of spider man that I converted into the symbiote venom. I really disliked the original paint job I did - sticking to the typical spidey paint that it's supposed to have. It sat for weeks just making me nauseous everytime I saw it. I was gonna trash it, but then I got this idea that just popped in my head to try a venom look. I never saw anything remotely similar online of a spidey kit that was customized into his nemesis (the only venom builds I've seen were SUPPOSED to be venom). I stripped it down with sandpaper.. rebased with white acrylics, and then went to town. This is 90% all airbrushed - I airbrush for a living - mostly shirts, cars, harleys etc... - and wanted to expand into models during my free time. I only just recently got into doing custom figures . Im currently converting a sideshow willow figure (from the buffy line) into Dark Willow(which is more inline with what you do here). I realize that model kits isn't what this forum is about exactly, but this IS converted (customized) and I only recently started doing action figures and kind of wanted to introduce myself with something. anyways, if anyone here has any airbrush questions, that IS one topic I can qualify expert level without exaggerating - been airbrushing 15 years every day for real and hopefully I can learn a ton about other areas where I am a total novice - which is basically everything else :)
