I had to comment on this thread. I've based my customizing around the concept that the saga began with Phantom Menace and it has been a blast. I love the light saber idea. It would be easy to make a maul sabor using 3d printing and combining the luke light sabers end to end.

Awesome, that’s a lot of fun to see. Only thing I would say is for the lightsaber if you got a couple of reproduction Jedi sabres and painted them red then starched together perhaps that might work well or a couple of Vader’s and stuck them either end of nails sabre? Idk just spitballing some ideas. If it were made for the time it would probably look like 2 of Jedi Luke’s sabres stuck together with another inbetween. Although it’s possible with knock off figures there’s a Maul with a solid red handle becuse it’s cheap and they didn’t bother having clear or paint details. Again just me spitballing. Really good though!

Thanks, glad you like it. Yeah I’m thinking of getting two repro Bespin Luke lightsabers, gluing them together, and painting them red. I think I might take it a step further and paint the hilt silver and the three buttons red.

I think the ideas talked about here for a new more vintage lightsaber are great.

Really depends what you’re going for. I’d personally just make it red or buy a knock off mayl that has a just red sabre as that seems like it would fit best but ultimately up to you. Also just buy reproductions for 2 Luke sabres saves you some money

That is a fun what if figure, as in...what if The Phantom Menace was made back in the 1980s and Kenner made a Darth Maul!!
