Here is my 12 inch figure of Duke, based on the classic design. I always wanted 12 inch figures of the original characters, but starting with that awful Hall of Fame line, Hasbro just never got it right. I based my figure on the 3 3/4 inch figure as well as the card art. I used a Lanard figure for the base. They are cheap figures and aren't as articulated as others, but they fill out the uniforms so much better than the skinny ones by Hasbro while not being outrageously barrel chested like the Hall of Fame crap. Duke's head came from the GI JOE vs. Cobra series, another terrible effort by Hasbro but with good head sculpts that look like the characters. The clothing and accessories are all random pieces I bought online which I thought would work for the figure. The badges were cut from other pieces and glued on here. I am not a big fan of the Sideshow figures, as their attempts at being realistic make them have an uncanny valley effect. They also tend to stray from the original designs. My goal here was to make figures that look like toys, like something Hasbro could have and should have produced.
