I quite enjoyed the Dora the Explorer live-action movie. I thought it was the right pitch of silly, and had surprisingly worthwhile things to say about respecting indigenous cultures. Isabela Moner did a great job of bringing Dora to life, while also adding more traits to her than were originally in the cartoon because this is a Dora who is now 16. I wanted to make a custom figure of her and was inspired by VicVeinz' from several years back.

Finding the right parts for this was a challenge. I decided I wanted to use the smaller-sized Marvel Legends female base body that has been used on some of the Spider-Girls, and went with Gwenpool. I used the upper torso, upper arms, thighs and feet of Gwenpool. The lower torso and upper thighs were from Gamora from the GOTG Vol. 2 line; heavily modified. The head and hands were from Black Series Qi'Ra. The lower arms were from Beetle and the lower legs from Ultimate Spider-Woman. For the head, I sculpted extra hair and added a bit of sculpt to the cheeks. I also modified the nose. I sculpted on the socks and the cuffs of her shoes, the sleeves, and her shirt. The backpack is from a Spider-Man movie Peter Parker figure, with the attachment sanded down. Painted it all up; the orange pants were a nightmare to paint. Thanks for looking!
