Hey everyone I'm showcasing another older custom of mine (I'm getting back to posting on this site and trying to post my older work before posting any new stuff). I made this guy back in 2017. At the time the best Bane figure out there was the DC Universe CLassics Collect N Connect Bane. He is a beast of a figure, he's massive. He looked like he came straight out of the comics. The problem was (like most DCUC figs IMO) is the articulation. When I saw that Storm Collectibles was making a Hollywood Hulk Hogan, I saw the potential that figure had. The skin tone was already there, articulation was definitely there, and he had some size to him. Plus he's also a wrestler so that made me think he was the perfect base to use for this custom. For the armband that holds the venom apparatus I used a black twisty tie that's been glued to the arm to prevent it from shifting around. I also glued the button to the arm. I painted the tights in flat black and painted the boots in gloss black. The head has a deep peg hole so I filled it in with hot glue. Without it the head would sink in very low giving him no neck! The belt and tank top didn't require any modification. I just popped the torso off, put on the two and popped it back in. Stays put with ease and doesn't hinder articulation. He was very fun to put together and I couldn't be happier with the result. Head and belt: DC Universe Classics Collect N Connect Bane Body: Storm Collectibles Hollywood Hulk Hogan Tank Top and Venom apparatus: DCSH Bane I hope you like that last picture ![]() |
