I took a black suit Mezco Spiderman (awesome base body), and striped off the black costume. I took all the exposed plastic parts (head, hands, feet) and painted them the same red color as the rest of the body. Then I put a custom Scarlet Spider suit over the body and added the head, hands etc. to the body. I then made up a leather belt and ankle pouches out of real leather, and used a Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider for the web cartridges and belt pieces. Lastly, I used the Ben Reilly head from the Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider, repainted it and refitted to accommodate the Mezco neck peg and called it a day. Pretty easy recipe, but the end result is a high quality Mezco Style Scarlet Spider.
Love the figure. Do you think I could get some advice? I recently got a Mezco black spidey too. I have a bit of experience on creating mezco suits, but what makes Mezco black spidey unique is his cloth goods also wrap around his feet. Do you have any advice or reference on how you positioned the cloth good on the feet to fit too? Cuz usually Mezco suits has boots so u the cloth just ends on the peg of where the boots go. Again, love the figure and hope you get help me out, thanks <3
