I started off with the basic vehicle from the line. It was missing the main chin cannon and a few missiles. I kitbashed a few pen pieces and miscellaneous junk to form the main cannon. I then spray painted it and weathered the gun to match the rest of the ship. I used panel line washes to bring out details of the sculpt and make them 'pop' more (this is a painstakingly slow process done by hand with a thin brush). I added some wear and tear around the engine intake and dry brushed paint chips and cracks in the areas that were blue. Finally, I applied more visible Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) decals, as the original ones were black on blue and hardly visible. Viola!
