At first this was meant to be a more articulated/taller/more realistic animated Venom, but as I went, this worked so well that I had to do it.

After cutting the Spectacular Spiderman Venom in half with a dremel, I had originally intended to attach a black suit Spiderman's lower half in order to keep the proportions of the animated series, and use the Mac Gargan head or keep the original. The Mac Gargan head really didn't match the torso though, and I realized that the Spiderman Classics Venom was much smoother and stylistically much more similar. I accidentally broke his tongue off though, so I cut off the Gargan's tongue and drilled Magnetix magnets into the tongue and the back of the mouth. After layering it in metallic red enamel paints and coating it in Gorilla Glue to stop the paint from scraping. the tongue is now poseable and removable.

While planning out how to dremel the body and legs to fit them together, I took notice that the Classics Venom's waist was a near perfect fit width-wise, and it also had the continuation of the musculature that was cut off of the Spectacular's torso. Not to mention, the legs, torso, and head all have very similar blue drybrushes over a black color scheme. A couple of magnets later and it fit together perfectly.
In hindsight I wish I had done the screw-trick instead, but as it is I can have characters stab through his torso.

I considered adding more detail to it, but I really like how it is now. It's my first custom that I've ever actually completed, and I'm very proud of it. I like it much more than the figures that had to be sacrificed to make it, and I highly recommend that other people make it.

There were a few hiccups throughout the process, like finding out that there was a ratchet and spring system in the Classics Venom's torso, and the fact that the socket for the neck was in the torso instead of the head, but all in all it wasn't that hard and worked out perfectly.
