Hi, fellows ! I know, I know... last time I wrote, I’ll take a longer break, from making orcs, and consecrate myself to finish the gondorian soldiers. Actually, I’ve finished half of them yet, but I have to figure out a solution for the head-mount/necks of the other half, first. I‘ve had that stripped down, lower body, from Gothmog lying around. Merged it with the upper body from a Mark Henry-figure, shortened the legs on upper thighs and shins, so that dude won’t get too tall. Filled all the slots, peg-holes and resculpted the pattern of the trousers and some straps. Attached a heavily resculpted Kevin Thorne-head. The shirt is made of linen. One sleeve is torn off, to give the figure a little bit more „dynamics“. That black-ish netting-stuff, is something you‘d usually put in your kitchen-cabinets, to avoid scratches from pans, or pots. The body-armor, the forearm-guard, as well as the helmet and the sword, is all sculpted from scratch. The axe is a sculpted blade inserted into a wooden pole. The back-armor is modified piece of a battle troll. Some real metal chains attached with sculpy, to a leather-stripe on the chest and real leather for the cloth at the back of the helmet. The bracelet is made of faux-leather. All clasps are sculpted. The harness and the loin-cloth came from a dungeon of Isengard orc captain. The furry shoulder-pad comes from a McFarllane Zeus. Painted with citadel colors/sealed with Valejo matt varnish. Regards ! ![]() |

All the best !
original head and formidable clothes
Thank you !
Cool, that you like it !
Kind regards !
Take care !
Tough choice on the head and helmet: really smooth sculpted helmet, but when wearing it, you don't see the well done pigface!
The chainmail is very clever, looks realistic. Great axe too.
Thank you very much ! Too kind !
Naaa, that one‘s rather a „mild“ and not sooo elaborated custom, compared to some previous figures. I did not have the feeling of „customizing burn out“, while working on that heavyweight orc. It was fun all the time and I‘m glad that some spare-parts, won’t give me a head-scratch-moment, about what the hell to do with it, any longer.
Regards !
Kind regards !
