A few months ago, I was browsing through some variant covers when I came across the Black Widow #2 Dark Variant cover and thought this would make for a really cool variant Black Widow figure to make.

Recipe:
Head and body: Retro Series Black Widow
Horns: Killmonger mask
Tail: Nightcrawler
Wings: Purgatori 6" action figure by Moore Collectibles
Guns: Agent Venom

I used an X-acto knife to slice off the horns from Killmonger's mask and painted them a flat black. I drilled two horns through Widow's hair and inserted them. I used a blowdryer to heat and remove the wings from Purgatori's body. I Dremeled holes in Widow's back and inserted the wings before using resin, which I cured with a UV light, to cover and seal the wings onto her back before painting over the resin with a flat black. I also Dremeled down the points on her wings and painted over the spots with flat black. I used the blowdryer to remove Nightcrawler's tail and inserted it into a hole on Widow's backside after painting it a flat black. I then gave her the guns, and voila, a fun, cool new Black Widow figure to add to the shelf was born.
