This is one of my favorite Jean Grey looks, and has yet to be made into a Marvel Legend, so I knew I had to create it. I found the figure in a toy bin at a Peddler's mall for 3 bucks, and the jacket had already been ripped off. I loved the pants and the heels, and thought it would be a great base for the Jean I wanted. The figure was a little too tall (7 inch scale I think), and was missing the thigh swivels. So I cut a little off the calves and a little off the thighs, created a swivel at the thigh, and re-sculpted the calves. The X's on the claves were also sculpted on. She also could not originally touch her head, which I definitely wanted for poses, so I shaved her elbow joints down, to get a double jointed type of effect. Her arms were not perfect for the striped shirt I originally intended to put her in, but more often than not she wore different leather jackets during this run, and those sleeves were perfect for that. So I took a jacket off of Boom Boom (who I later changed into Spider-Gwen), and tried it on her. The jacket was way too small. So I sculpted the two halves of the jackets together on top of the figure. I also used the belt off of Boom Boom, but it was too small. So I combined it with the belt of a Ninja Turtle figure I used to make Puck. The head comes from a Stepford Cuckoo. If you have questions or comments I'll be keeping my eye on it, to respond. ![]() |
